busy busy busy... LOL.
let's start frm the recent Saturday... stayed home and painted the interior walls of my home. did the same for Sunday T.T it left me with aching arms!
monday. morning went to school for Venture Scouting briefing - in-depth elaboration on the program n what things are like. then had dance prac till aftnn, after which i joined the portfolio councillors to shop for and buy farewell gifts. nienyuan didn't seem to put much thought into thinking of what to get. =s but in the end the gift still had a meaning behind it. =D yay! shopped till late evening alone...
tuesday. went to school in the morning for dance prac, then headed to get farewell gifts for scouts. my brains were hibernating then, spent alot of time thinking but in the end i just got chocolates. (total cost near 50 sia. T.T) anw after that i headed to coasta sands pasir ris for sec4 council chalet. played games, fooled around, and discussed about night games.
wednesday. slept ard the wee hours of the morning. o.O but soon it was time for us to check out. a group of us stuck together and went to whitesands for brunch. it was there that i saw afew sec3 scouts, and i joined em, hoping to go to the pasir ris park bbq pit 38 for farewell. didn't go with em, but went with suhuai instead. honestly, the farewell wasn't excellent, BUT i still enjoyed it alot. maybe it's 'cause it was the last chance we could actually soak in such a fun atmosphere with the presence of all our juniors. it seems very heartwarming to me, but at the same time sad and emotional(this was rather deep within 'cause the atmosphere was light and fun). i don't know why, but it feels very weird not having the chance to express a few words to the sec2s. there is this feeling like there's something tt's unfinished. =X owells, everything is over n i'm very glad i had this experience. i had so much fun with the sec1s and 3s, even thou some may call it "disrespect". as for the sec2s, i'm really really sorry to them for not being a good senior to discipline them. oh gosh i'm starting to feel EMO.
n this reminds me... i wasn't exactly having moodswings the previous time, it's just tt i kept thinking abt FAREWELL n i got sorta EMO. yep.
ok tt's all the updates of past events.
today! plans for later. wake up early to get chocolate pudding, whipped cream n small containers. then i'll rush home to finish the chocolate trifle for farewell. gotta refrigerate it for so long la! gosh! anw at nite it'll b farewell. i didn't prepare what to say. =X lols.
friday, afternoon mayb i'll return to sch to brief the councillors abt nite games. and also gotta bake cookies. i have a bad feelin abt tt. =X
ok... i don't feel like going on anymore. i shall return to the brownies i just baked... faster cool please, so tt i can go to bed...
sock ling most probably isn't going for ASG chalet. =((
*sighs*

Kevin: All scouts! i jus cr8ed a blog(meant more for us) its http://m1nor1ty.blogspot.com pls visit there often(esp juniors).
--------------------------------------------
i'm home! XD like duh? lol. 'cause yest night i wasn't. was spending my night at nienyuan's house, together with crystal, shiya, nalina, bryan, daryl, edison & leonard. didn't really do much. we gossiped, watched tv, played some brain game, and eventually played taboo till we all fell asleep. guess the time we slept! XD it's...... between 7-9am. wahaha!
apparently nien yuan invited us to her house yest so that we could discuss 'bout orientation night games & spend time with each other. how sweet of her. lol. night games planning... still have alot to settle! T.T less than 2 more weeks to go! omgosh!
anyway... ASG CHALET starts TOMORROW! =DD sort of excited, but also a pinch of reluctance to go. reluctance actually due to quite a few reasons. firstly is that i feel some of the time can be used for finishing up night games planning, it seems very irresponsible of me & many opportunities wasted. =\ secondly, (just to be blatantly honest) i feel that there's quite some fakery and pretense among ASG. =X not to the extent of hate, but just the inability to embrace some differences...
here's a video nienyuan showed us when we were at her house:
i personally think his voice so cool. x)
'cause you have failed to realise how wrong you were.

Built To Lastby Melee
I've looked for love in stranger places, but never found someone like you. Someone whose smile makes me feel I've been holding back, and now there's nothing I can't do.
'Cause this is real, and this is good. It warms the inside just like it should, but most of all, most of all it's built to last. It's built to last. (It's built to last.)
All of our friends saw from the start. So why didn't we believe it too? Whoa yeah, now look where we are. You're in my heart now, and there's no escaping it for you.
'Cause this is real, and this is good. It warms the inside just like it should, but most of all, most of all it's built to last.
Walking on the hills that night with those fireworks and candlelight. You and I were made to get love right .
'Cause this is real, and this is good. It warms the inside just like it should, but most of all, most of all it's built to last. (It's built to last.)
'Cause you are the sun in my universe, considered the best when we've felt the worst and most of all, most of all... most of all, most of all... most of all, most of all IT'S BUILT TO LAST.
:)

just some things i came across which i find interesting/funny/meaningful.
Reader's Digest October 2007 issue
All in a Day's Work A collegue's band performed in a park before an audience that gradually dwindled down to one lone man. After pounding out more songs, one of the tired musicians finally suggested to the music lover that if he left, they could all go home. "Do whatever you want," said the man. "I'm waiting around so that i can put away the chairs."
Laughter Joe bought his mother-in-law a large plot in an expensive cemetary as a birthday gift. The next year, he bought her nothing. "Don't i deserve a present?" she moaned. "You haven't used the one i bought you last year."
Quotable Quotes "People say that money isn't the key to happiness, but i always figured if you have enough money, you can get that key made." -Joan Rivers.
As Kids See It One evening my sister, Jane, and her husband were entertaining guests while their kids did their homework upstairs. During dinner, eight-year-old Jeff appeared at the table. "Mum," he whispered, trying not to be noticed. "What is it, honey?" "I need some help with my science experiment," he said, handing Jane a marker and a piece of paper. "What's this for?" "I need to draw a conclusion," Jeff said seriously, "but i don't know what one looks like."
Life's Like That I noticed my roommate studying the three settings on our washing machine: woolens, cottons and synthetics. "Problem?" i asked. "Just wondering," he said. "If i were washing a sweater made from a cloned sheep, would i set it on wools or synthetics?"
Reader's Digest November 2007 issue
All in a Day's Work "Will the party who ost $5000 with a yellow rubber band around it please come to the information booth," said a voice over the airport PA system. The announcement certainly got my attention. Then the voice added, " We have your yellow rubber band."
Laughter Teacher: "I don't allow two wods in my class. One is gross, and the other is cool." Johnny: "So, what are the words?"
Quotable Quotes "Just because someone has fancy sneakers doesn't mean they can run faster." -Jon Bon Jovi
As Kids See It Just before school started, my seven-year-old daughter, Sharon, called me to say that she'd found a puppy in the playground. "Can i bring it home?" she pleaded. "If it's still there at lunchtime, we'll see what we can do," i said, stalling, assuming the dog would be long gone. At noon, Sharon walked through the door cradling a darling black bundle. "Oh!" i said. "The pup was still there?" "Of course, Mum," Sharon replied. "I tied it up!"
Life's Like That Days after i moved into a newcondo, my neighbour came over to welcomeme. At the end of her visit, she said, "By the way, my husband said that he'd give you $20 for your wind chimes." "They're cheaper in a store," i pointed out. "I know, but he wants yours," she said. "They've been keeping him up at night."
The only constant in life is CHANGE. Welcome to REALITY! There's only one thing that you can do, & that's to ACCEPT IT.

some side issues...
any ahs sec4 interested in joining VENTURE SCOUTS?
apparently i am put in-charge of asking the girl guides, confirming the list of people, and arranging a date for a briefing. yep. but others(non-scouts & non-guides) who are interested are also welcomed. =)
if you're wondering what venture scouting is about, well it's actually very different from scouting. it's very much more flexible, and the activities (there are only a few FIXED ones in a year. maybe around 6) are based on your interests and choice (like you choose what kinda activities you want to carry out/participate in). the main focus is on filling your portfolio (so activities are more on organizing, planning and leading), but one can also choose to go further into scouting, like attaining the respective scout standards and awards. the latter is not that bad actually, 'cause the standards are being reviewed to suit the needs of the new age (some components are actually components of NYAA). talking about NYAA... that should be one of the primary awards that the unit will be working towards. yep. well, maybe you'll say that you can do all those things on your own, but then, will it be officially recognized? it's not that simple... but by being part of this venture scouts group, your work will be recognized. =D moreover, this can be your additional CCA. you can join another cca in your JC/poly.
if you're interested, or would like to know more, do let me know. confirmations by 8/12. =D through tagboard/msn/email/Hp/facebook/friendster etc. all also accepted.
