the music's fixed! =D
ENJOY! :)
| 1:25 AM
hey people, i know that the bandwidth for hosting the music has exceeded. sorry bout that, & i'm too lazy to do anything to make things better. =X just bear for 8 days ok (maybe i'll solve the problem within these 8 days. MAYBE. or the bandwidth will be resetted by then.).
Wonderwall by Oasis
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
------------------------------------------Let It Be by The Beatles
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
(instruments)
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, LET IT BE.

PICTURES time! quality very very poor though, my phone's camera has gone haywire! most probably it's 'cause i dropped it too many times. =X
the bag/case that we received on the 1st day
(the pic is super blur, so no point clicking on it. u won't be able to see the design on top)
the tiny badge to identify our tribes. it has 'apaches NP' on it. & the 'creature' is so CUTE! x)
the LED thing that we assembled by ourselves at the SoE (School of Engineering) today.
the entry ticket (just a sticker) for HOP NITE! aka mini ZoukOut @ NP!!!
the 3 girls are from anderson (they are the people i stuck with throughout the camp). from left to right; Elizabeth, Yi Min & Joanne. the guy's someone we met on the 1st day, when we WERE in the same group. he has a cool name - Cruyff.NP RED CAMP 4 day 3first thing of the day, we visited the last school
(last as in last out of all the schools) - SoE
(School of Engineering). 1st we did some hands-on activity, which was the LED thing. it's actually a board with 3 bulbs and a wire
(bent into our names) stuck on it. when a battery is inserted, the bulbs will start blinking! lol. it was supposed to be for HOP NITE, where it was rather dark. after the hands-on, there was a tour around the aerospace sector. got to see how the planes actually work. =D i found it awesome. x)
lunch we had
BREEKS. food from some restaurant called
BREEKS CAFE. it was spaghetti with chicken chop, very filling.
after lunch we gathered in the Convention Centre for mass dance and cheering competition. i love the mass dance! fun fun fun! & easy to learn
(that's the most important pont. XD). for the cheering competition, the whole convention centre got so heated up. such a cool sight. anyway,
APACHEs WON THE CHEERING COMPETITION! =DD yay!!!
after things started to cool down, some of the SLs
(student leaders) did a special item for us RED campers. they sang the song
All For One, but another rendition which they came up with themselves. so touching and sad la!
had
YOSHINOYA for dinner, then there were lots of cheering as we waited for HOP NITE.
HOP NITE
aka mini ZoukOut @ NP. absolutely
AWESOME! =D can't remember which bands and artistes performed, other than paul twohill. oops! =X owells. and i must say this again... HOP NITE simply
ROCKED! XD
with that, RED camp 4 comes to an end.
woosh!oh 1 thing to say - do tag if you drop by. thanks! =)goodnight & goodbye!
Thursday, November 22, 2007 | 11:11 PM
a FACE... & the word 'Liar'.
eh... this has no link to my entry. it's just something i found really interesting.NP RED CAMP 4 day 2first stop,
BA (school of Business & Accountancy). there was some promotion of Nivea products
(it was a company that a class of students were working with), plus a talk on a few of the courses
(about the areas covered and what they do). then we moved on to another room to play some games
(to let us know more about BA).
had PIZZA HUT for lunch. lol. the meal included a slice of pizza, 2 drumlets & 2 pieces of garlic bread. the drink was a packet drink, as usual.
moved to the next school,
ICT (school of InfoComm Technology). there, we had a tour around the school to look at their facilities, know more about the things the students learnt and the equipment they actually use. all the IT stuff were pretty cool. i'm especially amazed by the RHyMeS
(RFID Hospitality Management Systems) centre, where we were shown how the students are intending to use RFID
(Radio Frequency IDentification, something the EZ-link cards run on) for hotels. oh! after that we had a talk/presentation at the lecture theatre. it started out with many lame games
(the number game, MRT game, country game, time game & fly game) and cold jokes. super retarded. XD
headed back to the convention centre and learnt the moves for the chorus of
All For One (mass dance song). now that's what i call a mass dance! =D
that's today summed up into 4 paragraphs. lol. the tours weren't really that fun today, that's why i did not include details. BUT, there was still FUN parts for today. x) CHEERING! =D there'll be quite alot of "
red indian shouts", 'cause the apaches represent the red indians. x)

NP RED CAMP 4 day 1firstly, a bad news. i can't remember the exact order of events! =X ok never mind, i try my best to put it in order.
NP's so
fishing FAR from where i live! lol. approx 50mins mrt ride to clementi mrt station, after that took the free shuttle bus service
(phew! so thankful for it.).
found the event opening rather short though, but the school tours were really FUN! =D visited a total of 4 schools
(out of 8 if i'm not wrong), namely HS
(school of Health Sciences), LSCT
(school of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology), HMS
(school of HuManitieS) & FMS
(school of Film & Media Studies).
at
HS, we saw a simulation of a hospital's ICU ward. there was a patient
(dummy only la!) which "died" and was brought "alive" by the students there. it was really funny! there was this really sporting girl that kept crying out
"ah gong, don't die!". LOL! we also went to take a look at other stuff such as how to deliver a baby, taking blood pressure etc.
at
LSCT, we attended this short talk on
CRYOGENICS & CRYONICS, where there was live demonstrations of experients dealing with
LIQUID NITROGEN. cool huh! XD then we moved on to Life Sciences that sector. went to this fish spawning room
(or something like that.), and we got to learn how to dfferentiate the gender, plus see how the goldfish's sperms and eggs are "extracted". basically it's just taking the goldfish out of water and rubbing it's belly. there'll b white stuff coming out of an opening. then we got to view these cells under a microscope. after that room, we moved on to another room which was full of tanks with fishes. eh, they are actually projects & experiments. =)
LUNCHTIME. wahahaha! it's not some lousy CAMP FOOD, it's
KFC! yes, open your eyes really wide and look clearly. LOL. XD the meal included 1 piece of crispy chicken, 1 burger
(O.R. fillet but with no veg & mayo. XD), & 1 mashed potato. ok la, not that superb, but it's better than normal camp food. =P
HMS after lunch. 1st part was dam boring, a talk about
Diploma in Business & Social Enterprise. stuff on
SOCIAL ENTREPRENUERS. nt my kinda thing. lol. anyway we moved on to touch a little on
Chinese Studies, where we got to do a siple chinese water colour painting of a panda. x) eh i not bad 1 ok.. last time pri sch learnt a little before. XD then we moved on to know more about
Early Childhood Education. watched quite a few puppet shows, and we were told that there are many flexible and effective ways of teaching children. i think it's so fun and exciting! maybe i'll take up this course. lol. c'mon, you know how much i LOVE kids & children. XD
last school we visited was
FMS. personally i found this the most interesting. =D we got to visit many interesting rooms. 1st was this room for news broadcasting
(don't know the exact term la!). eh the next activity wasn't in any special room. it was just a simple runway to let us have the fun of taking "model shots" and putting them onto fake magazine covers. XD 2nd room - for DVFX
(digital video effects) people. got to shoot a group of guys then add a fake animated background. super funny! lmao! moved on to the 3rd room, a recording studio! bloody cool, seriously. from there, we moved on to the last room we visited in that school, the "movie theatre". it was a small-size theatre, but the screen was HUGE, just like a real movie theatre's.
cca fiesta after that, then we had a BUFFET dinner.
ended off with a debrief/closing where we got a chance to see the MASS DANCE.
i'm so excited about tmr!some quotes from a group of really
crazy retarded FUNNY girls from Anderson:
E is for E-diot.
J is for Jee-nius
S is for S-holeintended to post up the cheers i learnt, but apparently i forgot the full cheer. XD perhaps tomorrow or friday i suppose. xP
that's all for today! =)

DRAW A HOUSE!
lol.
Your house tells the world that you ought to be a leader. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You are shy and reserved. If you've drawn a cross on each of windows, you always want to live alone. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. son.
You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You have a strong personality and you like to command, influence and control people.
You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself.

GOOD MORNING! =D LOL! let's take today as yesterday. XD makes no sense? well that's how i am. xP
this morning
(or you would say YESTERDAY), went to Scouts HQ for the Frank Cooper Sands Award Presentation Ceremony. Peter was there too. but
as usual, he was LATE. LOL. click
here for the newsletter which has a list of the award recipients from the cub all the way to the rover scout groups. anyway this morning was really terrible. not referring to the ceremony, but the time i had struggling to stay alive with that horrid stomachache. it all started when i sat down... UNDER THAT
FISHING AIR-CON. sheesh! i'll give you the equation. cold air + weak stomach = stomachache + diarrhoea. simple as that. on my way back to school, on the mrt, it was super embarrassing. i was shaking my leg throughout the whole trip, trying to hold the "TOXINS". i could feel the poison flowing in my blood, seriously. lol. and that peter just had to take a video of me on the mrt. goodness. uber unglam. x.x
baking class at night was cool. interacted more with my classmates, and there was even a Q&A session between us students and the instructor. menu for today:
BUTTER POUND CAKE &
MARBLE CAKE. learnt alot of interesting things during today's lesson.
#1. "POUND CAKE" this name originated from the method of using ingredients in quantities of English pounds.
#2. the ALL-IN method of mixing a cake batter requires HIGH RATIO FLOUR - flour that has been bleached by passing through chlorine so that it has a greater gluten-producing potential to absorb more moisture.
#3. too little flour will cause a cake to be too light and crumbly, whereas too much flour causes a cake to be dry and hard.
#4. butter does not contain a stabiliser, therefore much care has to given to NOT overcream the butter.
#5. overcreaming may cause a cake to sink
#6. always add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, & fats are usually the last.
call it the ART and SCIENCE of cake-making/baking.
Saturday, November 17, 2007 | 1:52 AM
ok it's LATE & i gotta go to Scouts HQ in the morning tomorrow. the post is not gonna contain alot of details.
morning went to school for the PAE briefing. personally i felt that it was
mostly a waste of time, 'cause the main thing was to tell us to take it seriously. lol.
TPRAWKS camp DAY 3went in the afternoon 'cause after i reached home i took a break. when i got there, i called Tiffany
(Pack Leader) & she told me to wait at the plaza while she came to fetch me. i waited and waited, and after 30mins, she finally arrived. is TP that big? apparently not that big to require a 30mins walk. LOL. well she forgot about me, that's what i found out. XD
went to slack at the
ALUMNI LOUNGE, where we watched
high school musical.
after that we proceeded to the area outside the
Temasek Convention Centre (TCC). waited there for quite long, so we started playing some games. "concentration"
(slightly different from the AHS version 'cause they use numbers instead of names. there's also a cool way of continueing if someone made a mistake. 'XX stupid, XX stupid. this is a game of XX stupid', where XX are 2 digits.), "ti ti tiu!"
(the charging and shooting game. XD), "ohm ohm chucky chucky"
(passing the 'bullets' around.), "bloop!"
(fishes passing the 'bubble'. you'll look quite retarded playing this game! x)) & "GO, JUMP, BACK."
(it's this number game where multiples of 3 and numbers containing 3 have to b replaced with 'go', 'jump' or 'back'. 'go' means carry on. 'jump' means skip the next person's turn. and 'back' means reverse the direction.).
at night there was
JAM & HOP @ TCC. some HIPHOP ROCK party/concert. there was
SLEEQ,
THE GREAT SPY EXPERIMENT & this other dude
(which i forgot his name. =X). lol. it was very cool, but i didn't really JAM and HOP. didn't really feel comfortable la. it would have been better if i had friends with me though. XD too bad, it's already over.
ok that's the events of the day summed up.
now for some random stuff. XD
"
TTT TTT
running through TP,
in my white undies.
tall, short, black, white,
we all love TP.
TP RAWKS, TP RAWKS,
TP RAWKS MY SOCKS.
RP, NP, NYP and SP,
so-so only."
it's a TPRAWKS song/cheer. lol. the last part so bad sia. XD
anyway the 2 jokers/funny guys are
JOEY and
JUMAEEN from
SENGKANG SEC SCH. they are super amusing. XD
they kept making fun of "ANGLICAN" this word after i told them i was from AHS. no offence and insults though, all are simply for fun. lol. yesterday was pronouncing ANGLICAN as angle-lican
(not very bad la. xP). today was angliCAN, like pronouncing it as ANGLI-CAN. quotes from them:
"if angli-CAN, so can you!" &
" angli-CAN or cannot?". LMAO! XD
now for some pictures...
GROUP PHOTO 1
GROUP PHOTO 2
GROUP PHOTO 3
"MONTFORT" (a group of Montfort guys who keep sticking together and walk really slow. lol.) and another group of girls (staying in the WEST) not present in the photo.
RED 18 ROCKS! =D
pack leaders: ANDY and TIFFANY. =)
it ends here.
full-stop.
Thursday, November 15, 2007 | 11:11 PM
TPRAWKS - DAY 2the day started out with some propaganda to "sell" TP, plus a briefing on what to do with the
purple form. lol.
1st event - Adventure Learning Proogram. it was at some place behind the TCA
(Temasek Culinary Academy! =D), with many elements. i was O.O when we 1st got there, because the 1st thing i saw was the HIGH elements. i have a fear for heights!
(oops! this shouldn't be coming from a Scout =X) anyway, to my relief, the games didn't involve any high elements! yay! 1st game there was a team race which required the team to work together. there's 2 long and heavy wooden bars
(with strings attached for people to use as "handles") with the group members standing on them
(all left legs on the left bar, and right legs on the other). we were then expected to walk across a distance. 2nd game was simply jump-rope. erm, GROUP rope-skipping. initially we set a target of 18
(our group number! XD), but in the end we only managed to complete at most 4 consecutive successful jumps. x) to think of it, these 2 games are actually very simple games, but yet they are fun and interactive. so cool.
never underestimate the power of simplicity.lunch was after that. the location was better
(under shelter, not that hot! x)) . =D BUT BUT BUT... the wait to wash our hands before lunch was simply terrible. sitting under the HOT
(hotter than me sia XD) sun for a long time, 'cause my group was the last group.
SUNBURNT! ok my shirt is RED so i guess u aren't able to see the redness of my lower arms, but u can clearly see the colour difference between my upper and lower arm.
no muscle la! XD2nd event - HIPHOP DANCING! before and just when the session started, i absolutely hated HIPHOP dancing. BUT, as the session got on, i realised that hiphop isn't as bad as i thought it was. owells, i still don't have interest for hiphop! =P i'm just not GROOVY enough for hiphop. you seriously need to be able to feel, get into, and dance to the beat, which apparently i can't do very well. the moves are way too quick and sleek for me to grasp! x( back to the dancing... we learnt 4 counts of 8
(that's all!), but i couldn't even master the 3rd 8 properly. XD oh! there's this AHS alumnus who's a photographer in TP
(he was a photographer in AHS too), and he deliberately took a picture of me learning the dance! aahhh!
3rd event - CAPTAIN's BALL. didn't participate, chose to sit out 'cause i was very tired. pretty normal game. seemed like alot of fun. x)
4th event - DRAGON BOATING! supposedly last thing for the day, and it was cancelled 'cause of the rain/drizzle. BUT last minute change of plans and we got the opportunity to DRAGONBOAT! =D it was very short though. everything was quite rushed, due to the lack of time. we walked QUICKLY to bedok reservoir and before i knew it, we were already in a dragonboat. XD learnt the basic techniques and commands, tried it out for a really short while and...
*boom* we had a race. XD R18 got 2nd
(out of 4 groups), but we were just that few centimetres behind the 1st group. not bad huh? the other 2 teams were quite far back ok... xP
my arm's aching now!Debrief... watched the cheerleading team do a cheer, and immediately when it ended, totally out of the blue, we did the mass dance. o.O LOL! after that there was some cheering. ok it's dumb, but the atmosphere shot up really high. it's very much similar to the cheering session/finale event of AHS sec1 Orientation Camp.
get high, uber high! XD it felt so good...
something really random... for the camp, we were given stickers to write our names on, which were then to be pasted on our shirts. call them name stickers. lol. the interesting thing is that these were CLOTH stickers. i was totally amazed by it man, like seriously. x) i know, you're saying i'm retarded right? hmph!
DAY 1 (yesterday) name sticker. name written by ME. lol.
DAY 2 (today) name sticker. name written by my PL (Pack Leader)."we rock. you pebble." the actions are just so FUNNY! XD------------------------------------The Great Escape by Boys Like Girls
(i think it's so suitable for GRADUATION NIGHT '07. x))
Paper bags and plastic hearts

It's
goodbyeBut we got one more night
Let's get drunk and ride around
And make peace with an empty town
We can make it right
Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Watch it burn
Let it die
Cause we are finally free tonight
Tonight will change our lives
It's so good to be by your side
We'll cry
We won't give up the fight
We'll scream loud at the top of our lungs
And they'll think it's just cause we're young
And we'll feel so alive
Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Watch it burn
Let it die
Cause we are finally free tonight
All of the wasted time
The hours that were left behind
The answers that we'll never find
They don't mean a thing tonight
Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Watch it burn
Let it die
Cause we are finally free tonight

FREEDOM!
the "O"s are finally over!wanted to blog yesterday, but the music screwed up and wasted so much of my time, so in the end i didn't really blogged much.
YESTERDAYlast day of the "O" level examinations! woohoo! =D
after the paper, i went down to counselling centre for a mini celebration (for the end of "O"s). loads of snacks prepared for us. lol. and there was even a cake. XD randomly played a short game of taboo, and it let me realise how lousy i was at the game. my brains just can't function at high speed. XD
left together with cherlyn to join other secondary 4 councillors for the planned outing. we watched
Stardust (which i feel is quite a nice movie. =D), and after that some of us went to look around for prom clothes. walked around The Heeren for quite some time, and the guys
(including me) shopped at 77th Street for a long time. tried a few pieces, but i simply had no comments for myself. i was staring into the mirror with my mind somewhat blank all the time. =X
headed to taka after that, but we only walked for a short while before we dispersed home.
TODAYattended the TPRAWKS camp. =)
click here to view the TPRAWKS blog. there are some pictures of today's events posted there.it was more or less ok la, some parts were boring while some others were pretty fun. i was already half-dead in the afternoon. hmm maybe it's because i slept late last night and woke up early this morning? or maybe the afternoon heat? i don't know. lol.
the day started out with registration
(& i was assigned to RED 18) and some introduction performance. quite a good start for the event i must say.
1st stop for my group was the
School of Design. there, the
RED RAWKERS were split into to groups, which meant that R13, R14 and 15 were 1 major group, while R16, R17 an R18 were another. there were 2 activities - tour and painting. my group got the painting first. for that, we had to paint these cardboards
(with 2 holes for our heads. well it's for taking photos) according to the theme "
extraordinary". no draft, somewhat abstract, that's how to describe the piece i was part of. LOL
TADA! it's suppose to illustrate an imprisoned man on the left, and a person holding the key on the right. the clouds above were supposed to further illustrate the emotion. cool? lol.
me with this other guy named Marcus. we're supposed to show sadness and happiness respectively. XDso, what's so extraordinary? LOL. the humanity mixed with the emotions? i don't know. XD
for the tour, we visited 2 galleries showcasing the works of students, and a workshop where students do their artwork and stuff. didn't interest me. =S
lunch was at this outdoor place known as the plaza. it was so
bloody hot! but the food was good. hahaha! nearing the end of lunchtime, there was this performance by a Korean singer, Lee An. he was so funny! XD honestly, most of the audience i saw were just being sporty, shouting and cheering. he simply isn't that popular la. =X
after lunch we
(RED RAWKERS) headed to the
School of IT. omgosh that place is M18 & R21, seriously. initially it wasn't that "adult", 'cause a group of us went up to a computer lab, where we got the chance to play different sorts of games. i was really bored at that point in time
(i'm so not a game kind of person.). then after what seemed like ages, we went down, back to the LT. there, we got the chance to see the IT students film volunteers to make a MV. now this was when things started getting "dirty". there was "brokeback mountain 2", "dirty dancing" & "horny teh'ing". gosh! o.o but that made it really amusing and fun. haha! XD
last event of the day -
MASS DANCE! woohoo! learnt the TP mass dance and got a glimpse of the TP school song. their school song is
HIP la! there's like actions to the song, makin' it so fun! anyway, their mass dance is to the song
New Age Girl by Deadeye Dick. saw the dance before, and even learnt a little of it, at Chung Cheng High School (Main) campfire this year.
mary moon... XD
throughout the camp, i was rather anti-social. LOL. that's random! XD well but it's true, i didn't initiate talking with others or mix much. =S owells. oh! there's this guy
(jonathan if i'm not wrong) whom i have interesting links with. he's in TKSS, & his elder sister was from AHS. i'm from AHS, & my elder sister is from TKSS. XD what's more interesting is that he knows my sister
(his cca senior actually), 'cause he's from TK Band. there's also this pair of dudes that are really friendly and funny. here are 2 short conversations
(adapted, and both in a joking tone) i had with em:
"jun le. hmmm... that's a nice name. hey jun le!""yea?""just now in the computer lab what you doing ah? playing counterstrike right?"
"no! i don't play counterstrike. i was sitting on the floor watching other people play."
"ah. don't think i don't know, just now that XXX was you right? you kill all of us. wah next time we see XXX we know it's you already!"
LOL!
"so what school are you from?"
"Anglican High School""how much u get for ur prelims? R4, R5.""16, horrible""wah! so good. we're like far worse than that la. it's because of you people that people like us cannot get into the courses. i tell you ar, if i choose this course and i can't get in, n c u in the course, i'll kill u sia."
"erm.. so what course are you intending to take? i make sure i don't choose it."*laughs!*"TP TP...RAWKS MY SOCKS!"LMAO! XD
------------------------------------Rule The World by Take That
(the song from Stardust when they showed the credits)
You light the skies up above me
A star so bright you blind me
Don't close your eyes
Don't fade away
Don't fade away
Yea, you and me, we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yea, you and me, we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world
If walls break down, I will come for you
If angels cry, oh I'll be there for you
You've saved my soul
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Yea, you and me, we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yea, you and me, we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
Yea, you and me, we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yea, you and me, we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you

HEY YO! =D
don't want to elaborate about today, 'cause it's BORING. nothing much to say about the papers.
oh! TOMORROW's THE
LAST DAY OF THE "O" LEVELS! after that is PARTY TIME! =D but who should i go out with? hmm... now another problem. pfft! okay, never mind. i'll just let things happen by themselves tomorrow. x)
now for some non-related side issues...
"A hike is life once condensed and magnified.",
as quoted from CLEMENT's msn personal message.so profound, yet so true. how cool is that. x)
anyway i spent some time looking up on the effects of punishment & discipline, and i found some really interesting things.
Punishment brings about immediate results, & it teaches children:
- to be afraid of authority
- to resent & resist authority
- how to lie
- how to do things without getting caught
because punishment is SUPERFICIAL.
PUNISHMENT is for HURTING,
DISCIPLINE is for TEACHING.TRUE discipline teaches:
- actions produce consequences
(natural or logical, affects individual or many)- every individual is responsible for his/her actions
well, actually it's about disciplining children, but i feel that it goes slightly beyond that. :)
that's all for today.
toodles!

from Reader's Digest Nov 2007 issue:
FastFacts-
15 minutes of laughter can burn
up to 170 kilojoules.
- 65% of workers would choose more
leisure time over a pay rise.
Don't Sneeze and Drive! Those of you who are allergy-prone, take note. Allergic reactions are caused when the immune system resonds to allergens such as dust mites, pollen or pet hair and dander, by releasing histamine, causing symptoms such as wheezing and sneezing. The most common allergen causing allergic rhinitis in Asia are dust mites.
It's scary but true that if you sneeze while driving at 110km/h on the road, you can travel up to 90 metres with your eyes closed, according to the Automobile Association, so always have tissues handy - and slow down and drop back if you feel a sneeze coming on.
You can buy a car air purifier which may help remove pollen, dust and diesel exhaust. Some car purifiers plug into the cigarrete lighter easily.

EMO last nite(tis morn to b exact). sort of triggered by sum1's blog entry, thou now it seems weird how it could actually spark off a whole chain of emotions. lol.
anw anw, i can conclude tt the lack of sleep causes depression, aft my personal experience. x) click
here to read an article bout slp shortage.
"students who slept fewer hours in the sixth grade had lower self-esteem, higher levels of depressive symptoms and worse grades than students who got more sleep", as quoted frm the article. no wonder i feel EMO at nite...
--------------------------------extracted frm Reader's Digest Nov 2007 issue:
5 Surprising Reasons to Get More SleepOf course, in a less busy world we'd all grab some extra shut-eye. But sleep could have more effect on your health than you think
It could make you thinner
The less sleep you get, the higher your body mass index tends to be. Research showed that people who sleep five hours a night were found to have 15 percent more ghrelin (a hormone that boosts hunger) in their bodies and 15 percent less leptin (which suppresses it) than those sleeping eight hours.
It could boost your memorySleep plays a key role in making new memories stick in the brain. A Harvard experiment showed that subjects taught complex finger movements such as a piano scale recalled them better after 12 hours’ sleep than 12 hours’ wakefulness.
It can fight colds, ulcers and even cancer
Good sleep boosts the immune system. Melatonin, produced when you sleep, is a cancer-fighting antioxidant. Night-shift workers may have up to 70 times greater risk of breast cancer. Also, the chemical to repair damage in the stomach lining is secreted during sleep, so staying up all night regularly could raise your risk of ulcers.
It can slow down ageing
Persistent sleep debt affects carbohydrate metabolism and hormone function in a way that may increase the severity of age-related chronic disorders. A large-scale study concluded that people who sleep six to seven hours a night lived linger than those sleeping less than 4.5 hours.
It could keep you orderly
If you’re a child, that is. The depression and low self-esteem often associated with just being a teenager actually correlate with sleep shortage. Young kids who sleep poorly are more than twice as likely to take to drink and drugs in adolescence.
--------------------------------yep. there it is. anw i've gone back to STUDYING, cause i realised i've forgotten nearly everything i studied for earlier.
