thr's tis enterprise day event in sch tmr (a fund-raising event for Simei Care Ctr.. how nice.) , & the canteen will b closed (damn!). so tis means tt the students will b forced to buy food frm the stalls set up by the sec1s n 3s [sec2s doing games]. frm the handout given to the sec1s to 3s classes, it says tt The Milo truck will b distributing free drinks tmr. (yay? lol.) ok.. all of tt was juz an intro to my main point. & the main point is... *drumroll* lazy sec4s like ME r gonna die of HUNGER in sch tmr. FREAKIN' COUPONS r needed to purchase the food & games, n apparently these were paid for at an earlier date n distributed TODAY. (wow. nice one...)

now u c how thotful the sch is. how they neglect the sec4s welfare. how they claim to support us in evry way they can but yet deprive us of food n a place to study.

LOL. anw have a bad feeling bout today's paper, coz alot of my answers were in the weirdest forms - disgusting decimals n freaky fractions. random thing, but my exam scripts were super messy (effects of not allowing correction tape/fluid). cancellations all over the place. =S

personally, i would say it was pretty much a breeze... easy peasy lemon squeezy. XD ok juz hope i didn't make sum dumb careless mistakes.

anw aft today's paper, i guess tmr's Paper 2 can more or less be expected.. since paper 1's easy, paper 2 should b alot tougher. n it's definitely gonna kill me. =S well tt's coz the topics tested today were the topics tt we learnt during sec3, also the easier topics... tmr's gonna b the sec4 topics i suppose, which should cover TRIGONOMETRIC IDENTITIES, BINOMIAL THEOREM, PERMUTATION & COMBINATION, RATE OF CHANGE, SMALL CHANGE/APPROXIMATION, INTEGRATION, KINEMATICS and RELATIVE VELOCITY.

i'm so dead! these r the topics tt i'm not so good at, n require alot of time to solve. =S i'll juz pray tt i'll b able to get the inspiration n work out the solutions quickly. =\

reached sch at the usual time of 7.15am. went down to 4C at 8am, n i got CHEATED by huijuan. omg. made me rush lyk a madman n in the end i realised we were supposed to gather for the rehearsal at 8.30am. =_=

as we go on, we remember all the times we had together...
went back to sch to study today. absolutely LOVED the quiet & peacful environment. it may b a sch holiday today, but i wasn't the only sec4 tt went back to sch. BUT BUT BUT, i was the only 1 who studied at the concourse. absolute peace, except for the conversation among the cleaners in the morning, the screwed up fire alarm & the heavy downpour in the aftnn. LOL.

to b specific, i was actually studying at the tables between the lower sec block n the concourse, the one tt's under the shelter thou. n i must say, the fire alarm was simply annoying. going on n off like nobody's business. irritating!

initially i thot tt the place i chose was good & shuould have sheltered me frm the rain. however, i was wrong. thr was a heavy DOWNPOUR which blew rite into the concourse. even the seats infront of the photocopying room were slowly turning wet by the minute. anw i had no choice but to move. to whr? i didn't want to go up to the library, so i decided to shift a table (i found it beside the sec2 china cultural immersion boards) and chair to a bright yet dry spot.

thr's another thing i must say. the male cleaner in-charge of the lower sec block (i think tt should b his assigned place), he's really nice n friendly. he nv fails to chat with me whenever he sees me, n today he saw me in the late aftnn n said (in mandarin) "you're still here? did you take lunch? i didn't c u leave sch at any pt in time." i told him i didn't take lunch n he actually replied "you should have told me earlier. if not i would have bought something up for u when i went down." aww... ain't he like real sweet n nice? =D

honestly, i DO NOT know of the answer, but here's a lil my personal analysis...

for option 1, let's say the carbohydrate is hydrolised. this means tt the conc. sodium hydroxide loses even more water content and turns into solid.

option 2, polyethene... would thr even b a reaction? i doubt so, but even if thr is, the sodium hydroxide shud not b affected, rite?

option 3, the polyester is hydrolised, forming an acid & alcohol. the acid produced would react with the alkali, sodium hydroxide, forming a salt. so overall, a salt n an alcohol is produced.

last option, nylon gets hydrolised, forming an acid tgt with an amine. the acid reacts with the sodium hydroxide and forms a salt. overall, a salt and an amine is produced. according to wikipedia, amines act as bases, and most amines exist as either gases or liquids.

therefore, based on my mediocre analysis, i conclude tt nylon is the answer.

n y r the teachers complaining tt thr's a lack of paper? or y r they using recycled paper? i guess it's coz they used a humongous portion to print prelim papers(past-yr n other sch's) for the sec4s.

anw sumting out of studies. my class' clock had went thru so much suffering(being blown by the monstrous winds n falling frm great heights) n was completely disfigured. but me, being the kind soul XD, decided to put it thru sum plastic paper surgery. however, the novice me only managed to give the clock a new face... lol.
