A HUGE LOAD OF MESS WAS LEFT IN SCH, ESP IN THE PARADE SQ. LANTERNS ALL AROUND WHEN ME, CHERLYN n MINHUI WALKED PAST TIS AFTNN.

went out to TM to meet hanlu, tabitha, cherlyn, minhui n wenbin... then we headed down to LJS for lunch. entered LJS n settled down, then cherlyn took out a mini cake. =D honestly i didn't expect tt. they were so sweet la, they even bought a bdae present for me!!! it's a cute BOXER! LOL. XD

rushed off back to sch for church with cherlyn n minhui aft tt, coz we were so close to being late. 1.55pm then we left, & service was at 2pm. lol.. reached a lil late, but didn't really miss out on much.

aft tt we wanted to join tabitha and the rest, who were then at BUGIS, so we headed down to bugis as well.. when the 3 of us reached the mrt, we received news tt the tabitha n the rest were leaving the place soon. =_= so dots la. anw since we were thr, we decided to walk ard for awhile b4 heading home.

woke up really LATE n rotted in front of my comp.. then i finally decided to head down to sch to attend the non-compulsory(for sec4s) mid-autumn festival celebrations..

watched the concert, which was OKAY. singing competition rocks, coz the contestants could at least sing. XD only 2 tings were bad.. the dunno wad OPERA n the super loud volume frm the chinese emcee.. =X

rushed off soon aft the concert ended & headed down to UCC (university cultural centre), sumwhr in the NUS campus. LOL. anw NUS is lyk HUGE n SCARY la.. XD scary coz it's huge... xP ok back to main pt... my purpose for goin thr is to watch a DANCE CONCERT. Dance Reflections 2007; The Next Wave 2007 - Fifteen by The NUS Dance Ensemble. it was FABULOUS! :D

LAST DAY OF PRELIMS! physics paper 1. didn't noe how to do 3 qns, n i'm pretty satisfied with myself. =)


so... POST-PRELIMS CELEBRATIONS, or PRE-O'LVLS MUGGING? i took the former for today. =D

went to Settlers' Cafe for the 2nd time, tgt with part of ASG, namely jiesi, binli, junhan & yeowjiang. for those hu do not know, Settlers' Cafe is a cafe tt offers a very wide range of board n card games for ppl to play thr. u can check it out frm their website : http://sg.settlerscafe.com/ =D oh, thr's information abt the different games they offer too, incl how to play the games.
fortunately i took a FEW pictures, so i'll let em do the talking.

1st game we played, cant rmb the name. basically, w were suppose to draw cards n find the specific pictures from 9 tiles based on that drawn card. picture above is a card tt requires us to find the given image frm the 9 tiles.

a game which sum ppl noe as "tumblin' monkeys". cant rmb exactly wad the title of tis game is too. XD we r supposed to put 2 sticks of each colour on each tier. & the dice tt is rolled will determine which coloured stick u'll hafta take out. objective is to get as lil monkeys falling to the "ground".

now tis is a game which i took a pic of the box. title is lyk obvious. lol. it's pictionary, but with twists. makes it alot more interative n fun! =D

classic is the basic drawing out of the word. direct-a-draw is to act out the word. drawback is whr u draw on a partner's back n he/she will draw it out on a board. shut eye is drawing with eyes shut. people putty, the most fun 1, is whr u get a fren as a puppet n move his/her hands to create actions. all in the wrist is abt holding a partner's hand n using his/her hand to draw.

cranium game in progress. each player's objective is to reach the end point, but thr's 2 routes to take n pit-stops to completes different kinds of tasks. failure to complete the task would lead u onto the "slow" route, while successful completion will land u on the "fast" route.

SUPER FUNNY GAME whr the "green apple" card will b flashed with a descriptive word. each player will b required to put out a "red apple" card frm the 5-card deck tt fits the best with the "green apple". the psn with the best "red apple" will keep the "green apple" as his point. 10 points determine the winner.

to sum it all, IT WAS GREAT FUN! =D i so wanna go back n try ALL the BRAINLESS games thr! x)

OMGOSH! i lyk totally lost 7 marks frm tt qns. =( anw it's over, i can do nth bout it. blehx!

this friday, it's marking day, which means there's no sch! on tt same day, the compulsory mooncake festival celebrations for sec1s to 3s at nite is OPTIONAL for us. however if we are attending, each psn needs to bring a mooncake to sch.


omgosh it's lyk so fun! but i cant go!!! ok actually i can, but tt means i'll haf to give the NUS dance concert a miss, whch i paid $16.40 for the ticket. haix... another tough decision. =(

it was really funny. coz i didn't noe how to tell the hairdresser... in the end i said "cut extremely short". then sumhow we started a conversation n i told her i wanted to shave bald. LOL. she was sorta shocked, n said tt very few youngsters nowadays want short hair. aft tt she started advising me not to shave bald... ok.. the process was the best.

1st she cut till stiu quite long, then she asked me whether i want shorter. i said yes n she continued cutting. soon, she stopped n asked me agn.. yep, to cut the story short, she stopped & asked me 4 times whether it was short enuf, in reality trying to persuade me to NOT cut my hair till it's SUPER short. XD she's a nice lady! ;D & talkative too. she told me tt my eyes were big n had "life", & tt my head was actually big but my face small (i told her tt my frens said my head was small so i was considering not to shave bald). ok wadeva! it's juz a pleasant experience! =D

in life, nth can b defined as rite or wrong, good or bad. i rmb when i was in pri sch i was a conflict manager, sum1 whu goes ard mediating the conflicts tt arise among fellow students. ok tt's not the main pt. lol. the main pt was tt we were taught the fact tt thr was never a definite rite or wrong in a conflict. a simple story was used to illustrate tis pt. i cant rmb exactly, but i'll make it similar.

once thr were 2 brothers who were quarreling over wad they saw. one said this while the other said that, and both of em were claiming tt theirs was correct and the other was wrong. very soon, their mum saw wad was happening n stopped em immediately. their mum got both of them to stand at opposite ends of a table, then she placed an object on the table and in between both of em. she then proceeded to ask the boys to state the colour of the object. the elder brother said it was black, who was quickly rebutted by his yonger brother saying tt it was white. very soon, they started bickering yet again. they were stopped by their mum and she said "both of you are only half-correct." both boys were puzzled. "now, switch positions", said ther mum. they did as told and finally realised why they were only half-correct. the object was black on 1 side, and white on the other.

you see, evrything in life is based on your own perspective and judgements, but tt doesn't mean it's the one and only right explanation to those things. it's one's attitude tt determines his mindset. to a person tt's pessimisic, the glass is half-empty & failure means THE END. however, for an optimist, the glass is half-full & failure is a lesson learnt for a new journey ahead. so, if u nv seem to b happy with wad life hands you, or are feeling down bcoz of a setback, it's time to change life for the beta by yourself!
